About Us

Greg enjoyed a small amount of photography in the mid 70's whilst we were living in Warrington, Cheshire and the most local wildlife place to us at that time was Risley Moss.

I became interested in wild bird photography approximately six years ago when I went out to see Greg who was working in his workshop in the garden. He pointed to a Robin in the apple tree and said that it had been singing and kept flying to the floor near the workshop door. He suggested I go and get my camera and take a picture of it. So off I went in search of my camera and camera in hand I made my way back to the workshop. I was happy to see the robin still perched in the apple tree but this time he was singing.  I took some photos of him and then downloaded them onto my computer. When I showed Greg he suggested I find a site on the internet where I could put my pictures on.

I came across a web site called Wild About Britain, registered, uploaded my Robin picture and I was happy to receive some lovely comments from members of that site. Well that was it I was bitten by the bug and I wanted to take more images .I also received advice on how to attract more birds into my garden if i wanted too. We have quite a large garden and also a wild life pond.

I later joined another excellent web site Photography Cafe' where I could also upload my images too but also receive help on how to present my images which was most helpful.

We live in Greater Manchester and we are not far from Clifton Country Park, Blackleach Country Park and also Pennnington Flash.
